Student: Portfolio Attendance

Refer to the steps below to access Student Portfolio Attendance.

Step 1

First select Student -> Portfolios.

Step 2

Once Portfolios is selected you will be brought to the Student List. Continue by selecting a student from the list or by typing the name of the student or student ID number in the search field.

Step 3

Once at the Student Portfolio screen select the Attendance tab. Attendance categories include Calendar (for Calendar Year/Term), Daily Totals, Course Totals, and Period Totals (for Marking Periods).

Step 4

Calendar will show period and daily attendance in a single view. You may select a term you wish to view in the Year/Term drop down menu.

The included key will list the Daily Attendance as highlighted in (green for present), (red for absent), (yellow for late), and (blue for excused). Note: Daily Attendance is pulled from ATS. The letters P, A, L, and E are Period Attendance and come from the teacher's Attendance Book in Skedula or ATS.

To view a previous month, select the month from the upper left hand corner.

To view the next month, select the month from the upper right hand corner.

Step 5

Daily Totals displays attendance totals by month and term.

On the bottom right hand corner of the page you will see the Present Percentage which is calculated as an average of total days present + late over total school days. In the example below it is 98%.

Step 6

Course Totals will list the course attendance data separated by course. You can use the Year/Term to change terms or the View Course Totals By Month to view course attendance totals by month. Note: If you are a middle school or high school Course Totals is most likely used by your school .

Step 7

The Period Totals link will display period attendance data separated by the period. You can use the Year/Term to change terms or the View Period Totals By Month to view period attendance totals by month.
